Sagging Skin

Collagen and elastin form the foundation of supple, firm and youthful skin. As Collagen production slows down with aging, the skin is not supported by newly-produced collagen as readily; then it begins to sag.

Sagging skin may seem to happen just overnight, but Adult skin loses approximately 1% of collagen per year, and the aging process starts in their 20s.

Other factors in sagging skin include loss of volume in facial and skin tissues, weight loss, loose abdomen skin after pregnancy, etc.

Non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments can improve the tone and elasticity of saggy skin by tightening the existing collagen and stimulating new collagen production. They tend to be most effective if combined with healthy lifestyle choices.
